My name is Carolyne Cain, and I am a rising senior nursing major at the University of South Carolina. My passion for nursing began when I went on a medical mission trip to Honduras the summer after my sophomore year in high school. There, I saw firsthand, hundreds of sick, hurting, and helpless people come through the clinic; it was such a blessing to be able to make a small difference by passing out medicine in the pharmacy of the clinic. God quickly placed in my heart the desire to pursue nursing. I am very excited to have the opportunity to be an intern for BCI this summer. I want to be challenged in ways that I never have before, be able to practice skills that I have already developed, and learn new skills that will further my knowledge and abilities in nursing.
